Consulting Engineer (Power Systems & Grid)

RINA is looking for a Power Systems Consulting Engineer keen to develop a career in consultancy, this role offers Design, Owners Engineering and Independent Engineering involvement in many high profile projects within the EMEA region. You will be expected to travel approximately 10% of your time.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing resource, technology, structural studies, electrical design, contractual documentation, environmental studies, permitting, health & safety reports, grid offers and connection agreements
  • Conducting site visits/joining Senior Consultants on site visit inspections and supporting the production of reports;
  • Carrying out electrical design and equipment sizing studies;
  • Coordinating consultancy activities on allocated projects;
  • Input into risk management, including construction, operational, and financial risk;

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with AutoCad and power system study software (ETAP/DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Neplan or similar) essential;
  • Proficient with DIALux (or analogous lighting calculation software) and/or DEHN Risk Tool beneficial;
  • Previous renewable energy experience in either solar PV or wind highly beneficial
  • Previous experience working for a Consultancy would be beneficial 
  • Excellent level of written and spoken Italian and English is essential

IT Project Manager

RINA is looking for an IT Project Manager, to be based in Genoa. The position’s primary focus is in the area of business / technical applications. It provides the knowledge and strengths to support RINA to govern its plan for digital transformation from technical and development standpoints. The IT Project Manager will actively cooperate to ensure that company projects and yearly objectives are met in the management of software application lifecycle.

Main tasks:

– Planning activities, providing status update to supervisor and higher levels as required

Railway Signalling Safety Assessor and Testing Engineer

RINA is seeking a newly graduate or a Junior Railway Signalling Safety Assessor and Testing Engineer who will be part of the Railway Certification Business Unit.
The candidate will report to the Railway Certification Laboratory & Safety Assessment for Products & Railway Class A Systems Manager and will work executing specific tasks as a member of teams for the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA), European Certification according to TSI-CCS and Testing of trackside and onboard signaling products and systems for Italian and international projects.

Main tasks:

  • ISA tasks (execution of activities and reports): Document Inspection, Auditing and Test Witnessing, addressing:
    • System level: system and RAMS engineering, hazard analyses and risk control, system adaptation, configuration and installation
    • HW solutions, design review, implementation, installation, Environmental and EMC compatibility in the specific application
    • SW solutions, design review, implementation, adaptation, modification, installation
    • Application Engineering, Design and Manufacturing activities

Junior Offshore Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Offshore Engineer to join the Oil & Gas Offshore Structures team in Genoa.
The successful candidate will work on multiple projects in the Oil&Gas and Wind Energy sector.

Main Tasks:

  • Development of engineering studies and analyses relevant to design, verification and certification of offshore structures, particularly fixed offshore platforms, either existing or new
  • Engineering activities relevant to the review and approval of manuals and procedures for special sea transports, offshore lifting and marine operations in general
  • Calculation by means of dedicated software (FEM, Hydrodynamics), according to the main current codes and standards for structures, for offshore design and marine operations
